I purchased a Belkin Basic wireless USB adapter F7D1101v1, I have a Cisco router furnished by our telephone company and can not connect to the internet, I noticed on the internet it said that I also need a Belkin router, does that mean they are not compatible with each other? do you have a solution?
Thank you, Charles kanouff
I have a Belkin FD71101 Basic wireless adaptor attached to a computer running windows XP. It is linked to a Thomson modem on a computer running Windows 7. Whenever my computer restarts the Belkin USB comes up not connected. I then have to remove it from the USB port and replace it. I then have to reconnect to the Thomson Modem by typing the password. I am using the 29.12.09 Driver. Advanced setting in Device Manager is 8021.11d Enable. Any suggestions on how to fix this problem?
Thank you
I have the same problem.
I have a F7D2101 v1 and it will not work on my XP machine. It works on my win7 laptop and I didn’t even installed the software driver.
I’ll guess there is something wrong with the driver.
Fix us a new version please……
I have the same proble with Stefan. I have windows xp and the FD1101 does not work. It does not find networks an sometimes it finds them but cannot connect. when restart sometimes cannot find the adapter. fix us please
I have F7D2101 v1 it works fine with XP service pack 3 also works fine with Win7. All you have to do is after you install the drivers for the F7D2101 v1. Use a third party software and search the wifi connection for the first time and than you can uninstall that third party software. ie you can use Easy Wifi Radar or some thing like that, After you use third party software you can try to connect wifi using windows connect to wifi network and search for available wifi and it will search and connect to your hotspot.. search for Easy Wifi Radar link on google and you ll get 1….
hi steve,
this is christopher,
actually this next net adapters are compatiable only from win xp service pack3,it is surely not compatiable with win xp sp1 and sp2.
To check your service pack,
start ->right click on My Computer ->click on properties
you will get to know what service pack it is…
>if it is service pack3,it should work
