grasias realtek por los driver actualizados grasias lo nesesitaba para mi win 7 chao y saludos
i need version 5.1158 for toshiba
Countless numbers of laptop users have reportewd on several Forums that after an update, their built-in wireless adapter (Realtek, Intel, and Atheros) no longer works, has been completely removed from Device Manager, and will not reload.
Since I have a Realtek device, and this problem is about 30 days old, and neither Toshiba nor Microsoft (I have posts on both of their forums) are able to providse a solution, I’m now asking Realtek for a solution. Why won’t Windows 7-64 recognize my internal Wi-Fi adapter and load the drivers that I downloaded from your site??
Numerous potential resoluitions have been tried (too many to mention), but all have failed. Currently, their is no recognition of a wi-fi device installed in my laptop, other than what the BIOS detects. Neither Windows 7, nor the Toshiba HW-Setup utility detects the internal device.
Conclusion;l there is an issue between Windows-7 and your driver that needs to be resolved.
Your timely resolution is greatly appreciated.

Are there any RTL8187 without ‘b’?
for win 7 user (i used 32bit) just install the driver RTL8085L just ignore the compatibiliy issue …after you install the driver.. go to device manager choose network adapter. choose the realtek and update the software via internet… that’s it!… make sure you have internet connection..it will search automatically and update your driver… it works for may laptop NEO M54SE

Thank You soooooooooo much
I have been having issues with the device and I am at a loss at to why it will not work.
I have contacted realtek (US support) / ALFA (Taiwan) and they haven’t replied yet. I was hoping for some local support
For some reason I am unable to load the realtek utility now and my system is not recognising my device. I have checked using the network utility in MacOSX, nothing is on en4.
I am running OSX 10.6.5
13inch Macbook Pro (2010 build)
The device is using an rtl8187b, ALFA UBgt-5 Outdoor as you know
I have deleted using the uninstall utility that came with the device (on disk), rebooted and tried to reinstall it.
The utilities are not starting up when I reboot and have the USB cables to the device in.
When I reinstall it the realtek icon bounces, when I launch console it comes up with this error:
3/01/11 11:24:48 com.apple.launchd.peruser.501[121] ([0x0-0x39039].Realtek USB WLAN Client Utility[275]) Exited with exit code: 250
I have tired uninstalling, rebooting and reinstalling the latest drivers for my system from the ALFA website, rebooted and the error still persists. However, the bouncing disappears much quicker with this version.
Looked at the realtek website for drivers but the latest you cannot download.
I have checked the uninstall command, and deleted files manually:
/Library/StartupItems/RT8187ClientUtility
/Applications/Realtek\ USB\ WLAN\ Client\ Utility.app
/System/Library/Extensions/rtl8187.kext
/Library/Receipts/rtl8187.pkg
/Library/Receipts/UI.pkg
/Library/Receipts/StartUpItem.pkg
Library/Preferences/RtProfilesList.plist
Library/Preferences/RtProfilesListV2.plist
Library/Preferences/Realtek\ WLAN\ Client\ Utility.plist
reinstalled and the problem still persists.
I have ran maintenance and cleanup on my machine using Iceclean, rebooted, installed, rebooted and the problem still arises and performed the steps above.
I have deleted newly installed programs, then performed steps above.
My Kismac utility is recognising the device (as it has its own rtl8187 drivers) and I can run scans (but not connect to networks).
However, for Kismac and the device, it can only work the realtek utility and files are unloaded and deleted. But they are installed and Kismac works.
The device works with Windows 7.
Other error codes in console:
3/01/11 11:02:43 AM com.apple.SystemStarter[40] /Library/StartupItems/RT8187ClientUtility/RT8187ClientUtility: line 10: 94 Terminated /Applications/Realtek\ USB\ WLAN\ Client\ Utility.app/Contents/MacOS/Realtek\ WLAN\ Client\ Utility
